13 Fuel-Laden Ships To Discharge At Lagos Ports

No fewer than 13 ships are waiting to discharge petroleum products at the various oil terminals within the Lagos ports, the Nigerian Ports Authority, NPA, has said.


The ‘Shipping Position’, a daily publication of NPA, stated in Lagos on Wednesday that three of the 13 ships would discharge petrol, six diesels, while four would discharge kerosene.

It said that 85 ships carrying different cargoes would also sail into the ports between April 3 and April 28.


The publication stated that 11 of the ships would arrive with petroleum products, while seven others would sail in with new and used vehicles.


The News Agency of Nigeria reports that 35 other ships will arrive with containers and others with bulk salt, general cargoes, bulk fertiliser, bulk wheat, rice, steel, bulk gypsum, crude oil and bulk corn.


NAN reports that 15 ships are presently discharging containers, base oil, steel, fresh fish, bulk fertiliser, sugar, container, bulk gypsum, and petroleum products.
