TULSA. Okla. -- Putting energy into the context of the just-finished shutdown of the federal government, two Republican congressmen put the blame for an anti-oil-and-gas regulatory environment squarely on the shoulders of President Barack Obama and his administration. Speaking to the 2013 Energy Summit in Tulsa, Okla., hosted by Energy Advocates and the Oklahoma Council of Public Affairs, two-term Rep. Mike Pompeo told attendees that that “we have to assume a premise, that we live in an America that’s very different than the one that we grew up in.” Pompeo represents the Wichita area of Kansas and serves on the House Energy and Commerce Committee, and Intelligence Committee.
