EIA head, ConocoPhillips chief in sync on message to independent producers

PALM BEACH, Florida -- During Thursday morning’s general session at the annual meeting of the Independent Petroleum Association of America (IPAA) in Palm Beach, Fla., Energy Information Administration (EIA) Administrator Adam Sieminski and ConocoPhillips Chairman and CEO Ryan Lance delivered remarkably similar outlooks on the immediate future of the U.S. oil and natural gas markets. Although the overall outlook is fairly positive, both speakers warned of challenges looming ahead.
