Abuja — President Muhammadu Buhari has inaugurated his cabinet in Abuja.

During the inauguration, he announced himself as the Minister of Petroleum and named former governor of Bayelsa State, Timipre Sylva, as the Minister of State for Petroleum.

Several ministers in Buhari’s first term retained their ministerial positions, including Lai Mohammed, Minister of Information and Culture; Dr Chris Ngige (Labour and Employment), Geoffrey Onyeama (Foreign Affairs), Rotimi Amaechi (Transport), Adamu Adamu (Education), Hadi Sirika (Aviation), Abubakar Malami (Minister of Justice and Attorney General of the Federation), Ogbonnaya Onu (Science and Technology) and Zainab Ahmed (Finance).

Former Senate Minority Whip Godswill Akpabio is the new Minister for the Niger Delta and Festus Keyamo, the Minister of State while Babatunde Fashola is the Minister of Works and Housing, the Power arm of his portfolio in Buhari’s first term removed to form a stand-alone ministry. Sale Mamman (Taraba State) is the new Minister of Power.
